Private & Custom Tours are for travelers who want to explore Iceland on their own dates, with a route built around their interests and Marco as their guide. The trip can be photography led or focused more broadly on landscapes and local context, with a pace that suits the route and seasonal conditions.

Routes are planned around daylight, weather, road conditions, driving time, and what is realistically possible within the time available. Depending on the season and interests of the group, this can also include choosing locations and timing that offer suitable conditions for observing or photographing the northern lights. Marco can also work as a licensed driver-guide on tours organized in collaboration with a licensed Icelandic operator.

The aim is not to fit as many stops as possible into a day, but to build a route with enough time where it matters and the flexibility to adjust when conditions or interests change.

Private tours built around your needs

Private tours can be arranged at a slower pace with only a few locations per day, or as a more active route covering several stops. Plans remain flexible enough to respond to weather, light, road conditions, or a change of priorities during the day rather than following a fixed group schedule.

Photography can be the main purpose of the trip or simply one part of it. Guests who want photographic guidance can spend more time working with composition, light, and timing, while non-photographers can focus on the landscape, local context, or particular subjects and places that interest them.

Day tours or multi-day itineraries

Private tours can range from a single day from Reykjavík to longer itineraries connecting different regions of Iceland. The route and daily structure are adapted to season, conditions, available time, and the interests of the group.

Typical options include:

  • Day tours from Reykjavík: South Coast, Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Reykjanes volcanic area, or Golden Circle.
  • Multi-day tours: routes combining different regions, including the Highlands during the summer season, as well as waterfalls, glaciers, coastlines, and less visited areas.
  • Custom combinations: itineraries built around particular regions, landscapes, interests, or photographic goals.

Driving distances and daily plans are kept realistic, with enough flexibility to respond to seasonal road and weather conditions.

Guiding, driving and photography

Marco is a licensed driver-guide with extensive field experience across Iceland. For groups of up to 19 people, Marco can combine driving, local guidance, and photographic instruction in a single role when needed. Larger groups are operated with a dedicated driver.

Photography guidance is optional and can range from practical camera settings and composition to working with light and timing on location. It is adapted to the participant’s experience rather than turning every tour into a photography workshop.

Tours can be conducted in English or Italian.

Operated with licensed travel partners

Private and custom tours are arranged in collaboration with licensed Icelandic travel partners operating under Icelandic tourism regulations. The operating partner is responsible for the travel services included in the itinerary and handles the relevant bookings, contracts, and payments directly with the client.

Marco provides the guiding, local expertise, and optional photographic instruction.
