It’s been quite a ride to get here and to put all this together in a few absolutely full and energy-draining weeks, but I can finally welcome you to my personal website.
There is still a lot to improve and I am sure you will find something that is not perfect and a few minor bugs, but everything will be refined in the coming weeks. If you find anything or want to report an error or bug, please use the form on the “Get in Touch” page or leave a comment down below.

What you’ll find here
For anyone who has been following me for a while, you can more or less expect the kind of content you are used to seeing from me.
For anyone who just landed here for the first time (or by mistake, who knows), on this website you can discover what I do and what I have done and achieved in the last few years.
You will find details about my photojournalism work documenting Iceland and some of the most active regions on the planet, as well as my photography and videography, public speaking and talks, photo tours and workshops.
In the “Press & Awards” section you will find a selection of my most important recent publications and the main awards linked to my work, from features in major international media to a few prizes that I particularly value.
Regarding tours and workshops, in collaboration with Icelandic travel agencies in order to comply with Ferðamálastofa regulations, from 2026 I will also be organising photo tours and photography workshops. At the moment I have just announced the first one, which is reserved for the Italian market. I will be announcing tours and workshops for English speaking guests as well.
If you want to be sure you do not miss the next ones when they are announced, I invite you to subscribe to my newsletter. You will find the form at the very bottom of each page of the website.
What’s next
There is quite a lot in the making.
In the past few months I have been working on a few still unannounced projects that I will be happy to share in the future. At the same time, other projects are in the early stages of development. Some of these might see the light further on and they will be published or announced here as well, both in the blog and on the main site.
These are just a few examples of pictures you’ll find on this space. If you’d like to see more, here’s my Portfolio
Speaking of this blog, this will be the space where I share stories, insight, and reports about the things I work on and care about: geology, photography, nature, traveling, storms, and of course volcanoes. The latter will gradually connect more directly with my other project, Volcano Chaser, whose website will finally go online in the next months.
Oh, and a vlog is in the making as well. No ETAs, I do not want to make promises I cannot keep, the schedule is tight, but this is something I have always wanted to include in my projects.
Last but not least, you might have noticed the Awards section. I have just received a couple of very exciting emails that I will be happy to share here at the right moment.
For now, that is it. I am enjoying a short break in Italy, exploring some beautiful areas in Umbria and Tuscany full of art and history, without a camera this time, to recharge mentally.
You will hear from me again once I am back in Iceland.

Piccolo paragrafo per chi legge dall’Italia
Perdonate il fatto di non aver scritto tutto in italiano, ma la gran parte del mio pubblico è straniera e il sito è costruito in inglese, a cui ho dovuto dare la priorità. Come dicevo più sopra, la traduzione in italiano arriverà presto.
Piccolo recap in italiano:
Sul sito troverete bene o male tutto quello che faccio e che ho fatto in questi anni. C’è una panoramica del mio lavoro di fotoreporter e videomaker in Islanda e su alcuni dei vulcani più attivi del pianeta, insieme alla parte più “classica” di fotografia, dai progetti personali agli incarichi editoriali e commerciali.
Un’altra area è dedicata ai tour fotografici, ai workshop e alle consulenze di viaggio in Islanda, che organizzo in collaborazione con agenzie islandesi per seguire le normative di Ferðamálastofa, l’ufficio del turismo islandese.
Al momento il primo tour annunciato è in italiano, ed altri tour saranno annunciati presto. Se volete essere sicuri di non perderti le prossime date e tutti gli aggiornamenti, vi basta iscrivervi alla newsletter: il form è in fondo a ogni pagina del sito.
Nella sezione “Press & Awards” troverete una sintesi delle principali pubblicazioni degli ultimi anni e dei riconoscimenti legati al mio lavoro, dai grandi media internazionali ad alcuni premi a cui tengo in modo particolare. Proprio negli ultimi giorni sono arrivate un paio di comunicazioni e risultati che non posso ancora rivelare nel dettaglio, ma che finiranno lì e qui sul blog appena sarà possibile.
C’è anche l’Etna ovviamente tra i miei contenuti.

Questo blog sarà lo spazio in cui raccoglierò aggiornamenti, dietro le quinte e racconti legati a quello che mi appassiona di più: geologia, fotografia, natura, viaggi, tempeste e ovviamente vulcani. Man mano verranno collegati ai contenuti del progetto Volcano Chaser, la cui versione completa del sito sarà pubblicata nei prossimi mesi. E più avanti arriverà anche un vlog, senza promesse su date precise, ma è un qualcosa che ho sempre voluto includere nei miei progetti.
Intanto il primo tour fotografico annunciato e già in programma fra qualche mese e sarà proprio in italiano. Non so quanti tour saranno guidati soltanto nella nostra lingua madre, di sicuro la maggior parte dei tour e workshop futuri saranno in inglese.
Se volete essere sicuri di non perdere questa occasione di venire in viaggio fotografico con me e non essere costretti a sentir parlare solo inglese, iscrivetevi.

In questo momento sono in Umbria e Toscana per una piccola vacanza di qualche giorno, per ricaricare le pile tra arte e storia, senza fotocamera questa volta.
